Exquisite Vintage Mid-Century Sommerso Art Glass Vase from Murano Italy dating from c.1950, original "Made in Italy" foil sticker.
For auction is this exquisite original vintage Mid-20th Century Sommerso art glass centrepiece vase from Murano Italy and dating from c.1950. This remarkable art glass vase features a tapered three-sided shape with incredible rib details on the sides. This Sommerso vase is amber with a yellow-green hue defined against a clear glass. The vase's form and colour are beautiful and remarkable, as is the substantial quality of the glass. This vase measures an impressive height of approximately 21", 4" width and 4" depth with a substantial density (glass thickness). Condition: The vase is in excellent condition with no damages. There may be some tiny internal air bubbles that are a natural quality of this hand-blown glass piece. This work bears the original paper foil label "Made in Italy". Similar foil stickes have been associated with Seguso Vetri D'Arte glass pieces form this period. This auction is exclusively for the vintage Murano Sommerso vase. Good luck to all bidders.
