    Description

Pat's Audio 212 On/Off Power Switch for the Philips 212 and 312 models with no soldering required pre-wired connectors. All you have to do is snip, strip, twist.  But before you order make certain your Philips turntable is the two-wire type.  Philips also configured these turntable models with four wires connect to the switch.  If you have a four-wire configuration please see our listing for the four-wire switch.
Our replacement switch has been used in hundreds of Philips turntable repairs and we use it exclusively in our shop. It has a higher safety rating than the original (safe for worldwide use). Its heavy duty superior construction gives it a long lasting 10,000+ cycle lifespan.  And we include the surge protection safety capacitor that helps eliminate the "pop" heard through the speakers when the turntable is powered on and off.
    Our switch
has already been modified for your installation
.  The switch bracket has been modified for easy placement and screw down. And, the switch can be installed
    without
    having to solder any wires.
With the turntable unplugged from the AC/Mains power source snip the two wires leading to the old switch, strip some insulation from the wires, join each wire to a wire on the new switch and twist together with the supplied wire nut.  No soldering required.
Secure the new switch to the chassis with the original screws and black mounting bracket.  Don't forget to place the aluminum push button cap onto the actuator/plunger before installing.
    Special Note:
Philips used a couple of different switch types. The connection points might differ and the plunger stem dimension can vary.  Our switch will work with any of them.
If you have any questions as to the type of switch you have or how to make the connections please feel free to contact.  As longtime respected turntable service experts with years of experience working on Philips models we'll be glad to assist you.
